Nettie (Mrs. Edward) Willert, 92, formerly of Rockford, Iowa, died on Tuesday, August 31, 1993, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Friday morning, September 3, 1993, at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa. Rev. V. Messina, pastor of the Community Church in Flint, Michigan, officiated, and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Rockford.

Nettie Frieda Junkermeier Willert was born on December 10, 1900, at Flood Creek in Floyd County, the daughter of Chris and Emma Lacour Junkermeier. She received her education in the Flood Creek School.

On December 12, 1921, she and Edward H. Willert were married at her parent's home. She was a former member of the Baptist Church at Rockford.

Living family members include a daughter, Mildred (Mrs. Ted) Marsh of Clinton Township, Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Frances Willert of North Webster, Indiana; and two sisters, Anna Melcher of Rudd and Marie Johnson of Mason City. There are six grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1989; a son, Lloyd; a sister; and three brothers.
