Clotilda (Kraupa) Kluger – July 7, 1865 – May 27, 1938

Clotilda (Kraupa) Kluger was born July 7, 1865 in Austria Germany, the daughter of Anton and Theresa Kraupa.

She married August Kluger.

Her husband apparently died in Germany as she departed for America from Hamburg on the ship Pretoria and arrived in New York harbor on March 5, 1900, with her two children Max and Emma and was living with her brother Charles Kraupa in Rock Grove, Iowa, in the 1900 Census;

Her son Max August Kluger was born August 28, 1899 in Frendenthal, Austria according to the WWI Draft registration and died M 14, 1967 in Nora Springs, Iowa.

Her daughter Emma Kluger was born April 19, 1897 in Austria. She married Virgil Walter Gast. Emma died March 24, 1984 in Nora Springs.

Clotilda died May 27, 1938 and was buried in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, Floyd Co., Iowa.
