Velma L. Stiles, 79, a former Rockford resident, died on Monday, April 13, 1993 at the Oakbrook Health Care Center, Whitehouse, Texas.

Services are tentatively set for Saturday, April 17, 1993 at the Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Home in Mason City, Iowa.

Velma L. Stiles, 79, of Waterville, Minnesota, and formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died on Monday, April 12, 1993 in Whitehouse, Texas.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 17, 1993 at Fullerton Patterson James Funeral Chapel in Mason City, with Rev. R. Stein of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born on April 15, 1913 to Earl V. and Bertha Ura (Cave) Carroll. She married Elery B. Stiles on August 29, 1930 at the First Baptist Church in Mason City. People who knew her called her Mom.

Survivors include her husband Elery of Waterville, Minnesota; one daughter, Mrs. Rollin (Joyce) Howell of Fairville, Iowa; one adopted son, Bernard D. Delle of Waterville, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Olga) Huntley of Mason City and Imogene Tucke, also of Mason City; thee grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
