Funeral services for Ruth E. Nelson, age 82, of Rockford, Iowa, were held on April 16, 1993 at the Rockford United Methodist Church, with burial in the Riverside Cemetery at Rockford. Pastor S. Meendering officiated at the service.

Ruth was born on July 21, 1910 in the Rockford area and passed away at the Nora Springs Care Center on Tuesday, April 13, 1993.

She is survived by two sons, Donald of Rockford and Robert of Long Beach, California; one daughter, Carol Hulbary of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Alice Birchard of Greenville, North Carolina; one brother, Louis Palmer of Rudd, and four grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merle, and by one sister.
