LEININGER, HUBER, KLEIDER, STONEBURNER, KRANINGER

Herbert E. Leininger, 79, of Nora Springs, died on Thursday, May 20, 1993 at his home.

Funeral services were held on Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Nora Springs, with Rev. C. Clarkson officiating. Interment was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs. Memorials may be given in his name.

Herbert E. Leininger was born on October 15, 1913, on the family farm near Boone, Iowa, the son of Michael and Barbara (Kleider) Leininger. He attended school in Ogden. He farmed with his family in the Ogden area.

He married Lois Stoneburner on December 4, 1938, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Ogden. The couple farmed in the Ogden area until 1957, when they moved to Nora Springs and farmed. In 1979, they moved into their present home in Nora Springs.

He always enjoyed going out to the elevator and having coffee with friends. He loved to fish. He was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Nora Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Leininger, Nora Springs; one son, Roger and his wife JoAnne Leininger, Nora Springs; two daughters, Helen and her husband Lee Huber of Monticello, Minnesota and Doris Kraninger of Adel; seven grandchildren, Sgt. Steven Leininger of Albany, Georgia, Kristine and Jason Leininger, both of Nora Springs, Jon and Lisa Huber both of Monticello, Minnesota, Jeremy Kraninger of Adel and Jennifer Tucker, Overland Park, Kansas; and one great-granddaughter, Mikayla Rae Leininger, Nora Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and two brothers.
