Rather than the 90th birthday open house that was scheduled for Sunday, November 7, 1993, Graham Lawyer's funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 9. Mr. Lawyer passed away on Saturday, November 6, 1993 at the St. Joseph Mercy Health Center in Mason City, Iowa.

Services were held on Tuesday from the Clear Lake United Methodist Church. Pastor F. Lewis officiated, assisted by Pastor M. Severtson of the Clear lake Zion Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Rockford. Schumburg Funeral Home of Rockford was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lawyer was born in Dysart, Iowa, on November 4, 1903.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Orrell May, one son, and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Erna, of Clear Lake; one son, Keith M. Lawyer of Carroll, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Fulton of Mason City and Mrs. Cecil (Arleen) Radcliffe of Bristow, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Heckt of Grundy Center, and Mrs. Hazel Menken of Greene. There are also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graham was a resident of the Marble Rock and Rockford area until 1948 when he and his wife moved to the Clear Lake area and started work for the county. He was employed by the county until his retirement.

Mr. Lawyer was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, and an active rockhound.
