Blanche A. Heffron, 81, Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Monday, September 7, 1993, at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Funeral services were held on Thursday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel with the Rev. R. Pippert officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Blanche Heffron was born on October 10, 1911, in Delacs, North Dakota, the daughter of Clifford H. and Anna L. (Arndt) Weatherwax. She married Burton Heffron on March 13, 1943.

Blanche graduated from Charles City High School, then was a telephone operator until her marriage. She and her husband farmed in the Rudd and Osage area and then moved to Nora Springs, where she had lived for the past forty years. She loved to crochet, knit, quilt, read and sew.

Survivors include three nephews: Cliff Watherwax, Mason City; Melvin Weatherwax, Des Moines; and Allen Debes, Walker, Minnesota; three nieces: Edna Hartwell, Mason City; Karen Noland, Laramie, Wyoming, and Dianne Willey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one sister.
