Services for Alma W. Hovinga, 79, of Rockford, Iowa, were held on Monday, September 20, 1993 at the Rockford United Methodist Church, with burial in the Garfield Cemetery at Webb, Iowa, with Pastor Shirley Meendering officiating.

Mrs. Hovinga died at her home in Rockford on Friday, September 17, 1993 after an extended illness.

She is survived by six children: Dale Hovinga of Austin, Texas, Madeline (Mrs. Jens) Sorensen of Des Moines, Janice (Mrs. Lynn) Nebring of Albert City, Iowa, Mary (Mrs. Gary) Dehlberg of Des Moines, Donald Hovinga of Caulfield, Missouri, Glenn Hovinga of Council Bluffs; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, two brothers, and one grandchild.

She married George Willian Hovinga, the son of Simon Hovinga and Minnie (Muhring) Hovinga.
