Services for Anna Flessner, 87, of Hampton, Iowa, were held on Monday, August 16, 1993 at Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford, with burial in the Riverside Cemetery at Rockford. Pastor J. Golv from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hampton, officiated.

Anna died on Thursday, August 12, at Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton.

Anna is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Donald (Fannie Mae) Rover of Hampton; Mrs. Don (Eilene) Ender of Cedar Falls; Mrs. Duane (JoAnn) Feltz of Harlan, Iowa; two sons, Henry Flessner of Ord, Nebraska and Arnold Flessner of Waverly; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Tena) Willhaus of Owatonna, Minnesota, and Mrs. Peter (Frieda) Hanssen of Pomeroy, Iowa; three brothers: Louie Buenting of Palmer, Iowa, Herman Buenting of Litchfield, Minnesota, and Henry Buenting of St. Joseph, Illinois; and 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Flessner was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, seven brothers and one grandson.

Anna was born on January 29, 1906 at Pomeroy, Iowa, to Henry and Ollie (Hanssen) Buenting. On October 2, 1928 she was united in marriage to George Flessner in Webster City, Iowa. The couple made their home in Floyd and Butler counties until 1985 at which time they moved to Hampton. Mrs. Flessner spent the last five and one half years in the Hampton Care Center.

Anna was along time member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford. After moving to Hampton, Anna transferred her membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton, where she was a member of the Martha Circle.
