Leo A. "Bud" Esser, 64, of Rockford, Iowa, died on Wednesday, March 10, 1993, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Rockford, with Rev. Dale Rausch officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Leo A. Esser was born on August 9, 1928, near Rockford.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Grimm of Mason City, and Shari Esser of Nora Springs, and two sons, James Esser of Rudd and Ronald Esser of Mason City. He is also survived by six sisters: Dorothy Ross, Greene, Leone Coonrodt, Fairfield Bay, Alaska, Rose Wihlm, Rockford, Arlene Kirchoff, Rockwell, Alice Stricker, Mason City, and Betty Larson, Dougherty; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one sister.
