Lillian Darlene (Rex) Nustad – June 15, 1926 – October 17, 2005

Lillian D. Nustad, 79, of Iowa Falls, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005, at the Ackley Presbyterian Village, Ackley, Iowa.

Funeral services for Lillian D. Nustad will be 10:30 Friday at the Linn’s Funeral Chapel, Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Lillian Darlene Rex was born June 15, 1926, at Marble Rock, Iowa, the daughter of Galen and Myrtle (Crabtree) Rex. She attended the Marble Rock Community Schools graduating with the class of 1938. She was a telephone operator before her marriage to Donald Lewis in 1945. To this union two children were born: Charlotte and Carl. They were later divorced.

In 1977 she was united in marriage to Alton Nustad in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a nurses aid at several nursing homes in the Minneapolis area. She retired to Iowa Falls living on Henderson Street.

Lillian D. Nustad is survived by her son: Carl Lewis and his wife Wendy of Iowa Falls, Iowa; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; her brother: William Rex of Ackley, Iowa; and one sister: Georgia Diesburg of Clear Lake, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Galen and Myrtle Rex; her husband: Alton Nustad; her daughter: Charlotte Kock; and two brothers: Dick Rex and Raymond Rex.
