Carlenda P. “Carly” Lindsay, 43, Nora Springs, died Saturday, August 20, 1994, at her home after a battle with cancer.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Richard Pippert of First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, officiating. There was no burial, as cremation followed the funeral services. Sheckler Colonial Chapel of Nora Springs had charge of arrangements.

Carlenda Patrice Lindsay, the daughter of Carl and Glenda (Nelson) Gooch, was born July 6, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas.

She grew up in Wichita, and moved to Clinton in 1965. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. On December 2, 1978 she married Brian Lindsay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Carly worked at the Principal Financial Group, Mason City, for the past seven years. She had a good many friends who will miss her dearly.

Carly is survived by her husband, Brian Lindsay, Nora Springs; two daughters, Sunni Gerdom, a student at the University of Northern Iowa, and Jill Lindsay, Nora Springs; one son, Eric Lindsay, Nora Springs; her parents, Carl and Glenda Gooch, Clinton; one brother, Kenneth Gooch and his wife, Cindy, Clinton; one sister, Elaine Feinhals and her husband, Drew, Berlin, Wisconsin; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one uncle.
