Geneva K. Lewis, 61, of Rockford, died on Tuesday, December 6, 1994 at her home in Rockford.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, December 9, 1994, at the Rockford United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Visitation will be on Thursday at Schumburg Funeral Home, Rockford.

Geneva K. Lewis, 61, of 103 Second Ave., Rockford, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 6, 1994, at her home following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, December 9, at the Rockford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rosemary Rohde-Frank, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Schumburg Funeral Home of Rockford was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lewis, the former Geneva Katherine Weber, was born on February 21, 1933, in North Dakota. She married Donald V. Lewis in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Lewis owned and operated the former Queen’s Beauty Shop on Nicolette Ave. in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. While in the twin cities area, she also worked for several machine shops and the Bemis Bag Company of Minneapolis.
The couple made their home in Nora Springs in 1975, and then in Rockford in 1978. Mrs. Lewis was formerly employed in the Housekeeping Department of the former Mercy Health Center in Mason City. She was a longtime nurses’ aide. She worked at the Presbyterian Home in Ackley, the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, and finally at the Nora Springs Care Center until her health forced her to retire in 1992.
She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #733 Auxiliary of Mason City.
Living family members include her husband, Donald, of Rockford; a son and his wife, Carl and Wendy Lewis of Iowa Falls; four sisters, including Joan Sakihara of Minneapolis; three grandchildren: Rhonda Williams, Mario Lewis and Nicholas Lewis; and one great-grandson, Christopher Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Charlotte Kock.
