Mrs. Louise A. Stickney, 79, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Tuesday, February 22, 1994 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Rockford, with the Rev. D. Rausch officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, Iowa.

She was born on March 31, 1914, in Mason City, a daughter of Antonio and Rose (Cardillo) Abbate. She attended school in Mason City. She was employed at Jacob E. Decker and Sons in Mason City for 38 years. She married Jesse T. Stickney Sr. in March of 1924 in Mason City. They had lived in the Nora Springs area most of their married life.

She loved traveling, Italian cooking, sewing and doing crafts. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Rockford, St. Teresa Circle, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and Grandmothers Club.

She is survived by seven children: Jesse T. (Jinny) Stickney, of Rockford, Patrick "Jerry" (Bonnie) Stickney of Nora Springs, Darlene (John) Shaw of Augusta, Georgia, Clara Siekmeier of Alaska, Dixie (Charles) Cain of Tampa, Florida, Sharon (Walter) Bonjour of Mason City, and Dianna (Paul) Orluske of Nora Springs; two sisters, Kunchetta DiMarco and Angelina Mataloni, both of Mason City; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, two sisters, two infant brothers and one infant sister.
