William Edward Moss – January 1859 – January 1, 1946
STROKE CAUSES PIONEER’S DEATH
Charles City – Funeral services for William e. Moss, 86, Charles City businessman for more than 50 years will be held privately at the Hauser Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. K. Delahooke, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Moss who has been ill at his home here for 2 weeks, died suddenly Tuesday morning, following a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Fairbanks, of Charles City; 2 sons; Sedgwick Moss, Washington, D. C.; and Arnold Moss, New York City.Mr. Moss a few years ago, celebrated 50 years of operating a machine shop in Charles City, and was still operating the shop until his illness 2 weeks ago.
