FORMER CHARLES CITY AN DIES AT WATERLOO

Charles City – Edward C. Zubrod, 70, a former Charles City Resident, died suddenly Monday afternoon at Waterloo where he had lived the last five years. Death resulted from a heart attack while waiting at the city hall in Waterloo to purchase his auto license.

Zubrod was employed at the Oliver Corporation here until 1938 when he went to Cedar Falls. He was employed with a contracting firm there until he retired.

He is survived by a son, Harold, a brother, Art. A. Zubrod, both of Charles City.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Hauser Funeral Home here.

Edward Carl Zubrod was the son of Francis “Frank” Zubrod and Elizabeth (Rings) Zubrod. He married Louise Kathryn Loecke .
They are both buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd, Iowa
