Obituary of Mrs. S. A. Parker

Lovina Ripley, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Ripley, was born in Riverton Township, Floyd County, Iowa, October 6 1860 and died at her home on February 2, 1929, at the aged of 63 years, 3 months and 27 days.

Her parents preceded her in death, her father having passed away in 1907 and her mother in 1902.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs S. R. Wert of Elismore, Missouri, and Mrs Charles Lindaman of Charles City, who is at present making her home with her son in Minneapolis, Minnesota; one
brother, William Ripley, passed away.

She was united in marriage with Stephen A. Parker on July 4, 1873 and to this union seven children were born, three of whom died in infancy. The remaining four children are: Mrs. F. L. Carr, Clay R. and H. P. Parker, all of Charles City, Iowa, and Mrs. D. W. Ripley, of Fresno, California. She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Mrs. Parker was a member of the First Christian Church of Charles City, ever being true to her religious vows. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, a true friend and neighbor and will be sadly missed in the community where she has always lived, by hosts of people who join with the family in their sorrow.

Funeral services were hold at the First Christian church, Charles City, February, 5, conducted by her pastor. Rev. G. A. Hess, and the remains were laid to rest in the family lot at the Riverton Cemetery.
