CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Juanita "Bill" Bunn, 78, of Charles City died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with Pastor Jim Beranek of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City.

Friends may greet the family 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauser Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Thursday.

Juanita Marie Bunn was born December 2, 1933, in rural Floyd County, the daughter of Harold and Kezzie (Johnston) Haberkorn. She was raised on the family farm and attended Charles City High School. On May 25, 1954, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she was united in marriage to John Bunn. To this union, three children were born. The family lived east of Charles City where Juanita was a homemaker. Later in life she worked at Theisens in Charles City and most recently as a Foster Grandparent. She enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, sewing and making quilts, and playing cards.

Living family members include two sons, Scott (Michelle) Bunn of Mason City and Michael (Janyce) Bunn of Rockford; a daughter, Denise (Ron) Crooks of Charles City; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Brinkman of San Antonio, Texas, and Dianne (Randy) Boggess of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1989; two brothers, Kenwood "Dick" Haberkorn, and Dennis Haberkorn.

The Hauser Funeral Home, in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements.
