Graveside services for Maxine Rivers, a former Rudd resident, will be held on Friday, August 12, 1994 at Rudd Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor C. Clarkson, of St. Luke Lutheran church, Nora Springs, will officiate at the services.

She passed away on Monday, August 8, 1994, at Northwest Iowa Health Center, Sheldon, Iowa. Sheckler Colonial Chapel will be in charge of the arrangements. A complete obituary will be printed in next week's paper.

Maxine Rivers, 71, of Sheldon, Iowa, and formerly of Rudd, Iowa, died on Monday, August 8, 1994 at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Graveside services were held Friday afternoon, August 12, 1994, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. C. Clarkson of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Nora Springs officiating. Sheckler Colonial Chapel of Nora Springs, handled arrangements.

Mrs. Rivers was born February 9, 1923, at Mason City, a daughter of Harry and Marie (Bartholomew) Anderson. She married Ryal R. Rivers in October of 1947 in Rudd. She had attended mason City schools, and had been a resident of Sheldon for 40 years.

Survivors include two daughter, Sandra Kliven, Davenport, and Wanda Groving of Sheldon; three brothers: Dale Anderson and Edwin Anderson, both of San Angelo, Texas; and Floyd Anderson of Paosta, Colorado; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Maurice and one sister, Mardell.
