Emil O. Klingbeil – August 31, 1883 – October 17, 1950

RETIRED FARMER OF COLWELL DIES

Charles City – Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Charles City, for Emil O. Klingbeil, 67, retired Colwell farmer, who died in the Cedar Valley Hospital Tuesday. The Rev. Walter M. Fritschel will officiate and burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Grossmann’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Klingbeil had suffered a heart ailment for several months and had been a patient at the hospital since September 23rd. He was born August 31, 1883 in Niles Township, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Klingbeil.

He was married to Mary Manning in Charles City, January 25, 1905. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He had lived on the farm where he was born until March 1, when he moved to Colwell.

Survivors include his wife, one sister; Mrs. Anna Lebow, Riceville; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.
