SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI - Carol Fisher, 68, of Springfield, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services for Carol Fisher will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City. Pastor Mitch Wright of Glendale Baptist Church, Springfield, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday at the church an hour prior to the service.

The Hauser Funeral Home, in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hauserfh.com .

Carol Fisher, 68, of Springfield, Mo, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at her home. Carol Rae Marreel Fisher was born February 24, 1943, at Osage, the daughter of Ray and Huberta (Knight) Marreel. She was the second oldest of four siblings. Carol grew up in and around the Osage area graduating from Osage High School. In 1961 she joined the United States Navy but her Navy career was short due to a medical condition.

On July 20, 1963, Carol married the love of her life Cyron "Bud" Fisher. In 1987 they moved to Missouri to run a convenience store. After 13 years they retired from the convenience store business. Carol then went to work in the Home Health Care field up until her diagnosis of Mesothelioma. She was a member of the Brookline Baptist Church. Her interests included painting, golfing, bike riding and reading.

Living family members include her husband, Cyron "Bud" Fisher of Springfield, Mo; a son, Cyron "Buddy" Fisher of McAlester, Okla.; three daughters, Jacque (Mike) Walden of Lynn Creek, Mo., Dana (Mark) Jones of Minooka, Illinois, and Kelli (John) Peak of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Michael and Preston Walden, Krystal and Mark Jones, Jordan and Jacob Fisher and Chelsea and J.J. Peak; and three great grandchildren, Maya Walden, Marie Miller and Ebony Fisher; a brother, Larry Marreel of Long Beach, Miss.; and two sisters, Maralee (David) Crooks of Evansdale and Sue Burreson and friend Terry Squier of Ionia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Doug Fisher.
