Last Rites Tuesday
for Retired Farmer

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Waller M. Fritschel officiating, for Emit A. Voelker, 75 who died Sunday at his home, 500 Riching Street. He suffered a heart attack in December and had been in failing health since that time. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Voelker was born October 17, 1877, in Germany, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Voelker. He came to Iowa with his parents when he was five years old.

He was married to Bertha Krumrey, December 14, 1904. They farmed three miles east of Niles until retiring and moving to Charles City in 1912.

Survivors include his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Nolt and two sons, Ernest and Harry both of rural, Charles City, and five grandchildren.

A son died last year.
