Larry Brakel Larry Brakel, 51, of rural Charles City, died Monday, July 4, 1994, at the Weatherford Memorial Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Funeral services were Friday morning at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City with the Rev. John G. Bissett officiating. Fullerton Hage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Larry Irving Brakel was born March 20, 1943, in Charles City.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou, of Charles City; two daughters, Brenda Romig of Johnson and Pamela Amos of Clovis, N.M.; his mother, Dorothy Putney of Charles City; his father and stepmother, Lyle and Juanita Brakel of Charles City; three brothers, Dennis of Charles City, Dean of Loring AFB, Caribou, Maine, and Michael of Forest City; five sisters, Linda Lantz of Rudd, Patricia Scholbrock of Lawler, Barbara Bouillion of Bassett, Bonnie Calkins of Dover, Delaware, and Mary Kay Steere of Greene; and one grandson.
