Funeral services were held Monday morning, June 27, 1994, at the Holy Name Catholic Church at Rockford, Iowa, for Eldon Bass, Jr., 49, who died on Thursday, June 23, at North Iowa mercy Health Center East, Mason City, Iowa, following an extended illness. Rev. D. Rausch officiated, and burial was in the Rock Grove Cemetery near Nora Springs.

A parish prayer service was held on Sunday evening at the Schumburg Funeral Home in Rockford.

Eldon Bass, Jr., was born August 7, 1944, in Charles City. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church of Rockford, and the Mason City Chapter 222 of Mended Hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of rural Rockford; two sons, Joe and Bill, both at home; one daughter, Dawn Bass of Mason City; his father, Eldon Bass, Sr., Rockford; his mother, Fay Gray of Springfield, Missouri; One sister; two step-sisters; four step-brothers; four grandchildren; and aunts and uncles.
