ALDEN, Charles F. E. 1924-1994
Charles F. E. Alden, 70, of Ostrander, Minnesota, died on Saturday, November 5, 1994 at the Spring Valley Community Hospital in Spring Valley, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 1994 at the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ with Rev. J. Kester officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Lime Springs. Friends may call at the Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy, Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 8.
Mr. Alden was born on May 17, 1924, in Charles City, a son of Roy A. and Clare Walker Alden. On March 24, 1945, he married Norma Orum at Cresco. He was a farmer and she was a homemaker. Theyt were also custodians at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
Living family members include his wife, Norma of Ostrander; a son, David Alden of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter and her husband, Sharon Kaye and David Mills of Joplin, Missouri; five brothers: Melvin of Chester, Dwight of Nora Springs, Darwin of Charles City, Larry of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Garry of Eugene, Oregon; and five sisters: Ethel (Mrs. Marvin) Haley of Riceville, Marilyn McInroy of Charles City, Darlene Griffin of California, Frances (Mrs. Robert) Wilson of Charles City, and Bonnie (Mrs. James) Hubka of Riceville. There are three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter
