John Frascht

Funeral services for John Joseph Frascht, 76, of Charles City, Iowa, were held on Thursday, February 21, 1985, at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. He died on Monday, February 18, 1985, at a Charles City nursing home. Rev. Roger Rethamel officiated with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Mr. Frascht was born on September 22, 1908 in rural Greene, to Matt and Catherine Kohlas Frascht. He was educated in Greene area schools and on January 24, 1928 married Dorothy Mary Vichoff in Roseville.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Retired Farmers.

Survivors include three sons, James, Russell and Kenneth, all of Charles City; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Kay, rural Charles City and Mrs. Ellen Schrage of Osage and one brother, James “Bert” of Greene.
