STEWARTVILLE, Minn. - Donald "Butch" Burzette, 57, of 601 23rd St. N.W. in Stewartville, Minn., and formerly of Mason City and Charles City, died Thursday (Oct. 24, 2002) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene in Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Pat Thomas officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville, Minn. is in charge of arrangements.

DONALD 'BUTCH' BURZETTE
STEWARTVILLE, Minn. - A memorial service for Donald "Butch" Burzette was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene in Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Pat Thomas officiating.
Mr. Burzette, 57, lived at 601 23rd St N.W. in Stewartville, Minn.
He died Thursday (Oct. 24, 2002) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. of complications of diabetes.
He was born May 6, 1945, in Mason City to Melvin and Lois (Mathers) Burzette. He grew up in Mason City and Charles City and graduated from Charles City High School. He worked at White/Oliver Manufacturing.
In 1970 he owned and operated "Little Butch's Restaurants" in Plymouth and Elma Iowa, for many years.
In 1982 he moved to Minnesota and operated restaurants in Rochester, Grand Meadow and the High Forest Truck Stop restaurant in Stewartville.
Mr. Burzette also worked in auto sales in the Stewartville area and owned and operated R &D sales.
Mr. Burzette was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Iowa for many years. He spent many years gardening, fishing, canning, catering and was happiest when he was cooking for a crowd.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Connie, and three daughters, Tina Burzette, Heather (Scott) Nelson and Darci Burzette, all of Stewartville, Minn.; one son, Darin, of Stewartville, and two grandchildren; two sisters, Jan (Brian) Adams of Osage, and Sheila (Gary) Riden of Charles City; aunt, Beverly O'Connell of New Brunsfels, Texas; sister-in-law, Ramona Burzette, Indianola, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family to meet him in Heaven are his parents; four brothers, Robert, William, Greg and Fredrick, and his three sisters, Sondra, Susan and Sherry.
Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville, Minn., was in charge of the arrangements.
