Gregory Collins, 48, of Charles City, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at his home.

Memorial services for Gregory Collins will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. until service time. There will also be an informal gathering for family and friends at Red Cloud Park on Indian Hill in LaCrosse, Wisc. on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at noon with a light lunch provided.

Gregory John Collins was born February 13, 1963, in LaCrosse, Wisc., the son of Thomas and Diane (Miller) Collins. He attended Logan High School and then later graduated from Wisconsin Technical College for Audio/Visual Communication. Greg was united in marriage to Kim Brunner at Trinity United Methodist Church on May 26, 2001. To this union four children were born. Greg and Kim lived in Charles City. Greg worked in various positions and was a great fix it guy, he could fix anything. He worked in the window business 20 years for Andersen and later Simonton Windows. Greg was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and truly enjoyed playing in the Damascus Road band. He liked music of all kinds and loved playing his guitars and writing songs with the kids. Greg liked to ride his motorcycle. He loved to visit with people and was always there to lend a hand.

Greg is survived by his wife Kim Collins of Charles City; four children; Caden, 8, Ian, 7, Keely, 5, and Edie, 2; six siblings, Danny (Robin) Collins of Madison, Wisconsin, Kathleen (Al Poser) Collins of Stoddard, Wisconsin, Debra Litsheim, Shaun Collins, and Kevin Collins all of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and Michael (Norman) Collins of Madison, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Collins; and his brother, Patrick Collins.
