Joretta Jean and Robert William Buehler

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Joretta Jean Buehler was born on December 26, 1930, and passed away October 23, 2010. Robert William Buehler was born September 29, 1932, and passed away June 22, 2011.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, at Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Bob and Jean went to Nora Springs High School. They were married on November 1, 1951, and lived in Mason City.

Bob was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. After service in the military he went to work for Decker Armor Meats and transferred to Texas in 1975 where he retired. Jean worked as a nutritionist for Garland ISD, Community Hospital and Baylor Medical Center of Garland.

Survived by their daughter Janet Jean Alber and husband Steve of Garland, Texas; son Greg Buehler and wife Tanya; and children Ashley and Matthew of Rockwall Texas; step-grandchildren, Brad Alber and wife, Stephanie and children of Des Moines, Iowa; Nancy and husband Jay Johnson and children of Omaha Nebraska.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Hilda Huffstettler and brother Tommy Floyd Huffstettler.

Bob's surviving family: sisters, Judy Rood of Mason City, Iowa; Karen Chensvold of West Union, Iowa; brothers, Lyle and wife, Janet Buehler of West Gate, Iowa; John and wife, Susan Buehler of Mason City, Iowa.

Preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Ramona Buehler, brother-in-laws, Paul Rood and Lester Chensvold.

Luncheon will be held at The Christian Church following service.
