CONNIE R. KANTARIS

MASON CITY - Connie R. Kantaris, 53, of 424 Second St. N.E., died Friday (Oct. 4, 2002) at her home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E., with the Rev. Christopher Podhajsky officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E. in Mason City, with a scripture prayer service at 5 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Mrs. Kantaris' family in her name.

Connie was born July 22, 1949, in Charles City, Iowa, a daughter of Martin B. and Dorothy L. (Jenkins) Sigler. She attended school in Rudd and Mason City before her marriage to Nicholas J. Kantaris on Aug. 2, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City.

Connie worked for many years as a medication aid and a nurses aid in the Mason City area. She retired in 1990 due to health complications.

Connie enjoyed raising her Doberman pincher dogs, watching TV, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Connie will be greatly missed by her husband, Nick, of Mason City; three children, Michael E. Kantaris, Nancy Linderman and her husband, Mike, and Angela Kantaris and her fiancé, Aaron Charlson, all of Mason City; two grandchildren, Steven and Vanessa Linderman; her mother, Dorothy Bartelt, of Mason City; her mother-in-law, Helen Hugi, of Mason City; a sister, Maxine Parker, of Charles City; a brother, Duane Sigler, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Martin B. Sigler; her stepfather, Paul Bartelt; a brother, Larry Sigler, and an infant sister, Beulah Mae.
