BETTY MAE ROGERS

RUDD, IOWA - Betty Mae Rogers, 71, of 511 Sixth St., died on Wednesday (Aug. 28, 2002) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Rudd United Methodist Church, 611 Sixth St., Rudd, with the Rev. Terra Amundson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye Ave. in Nora Springs, and also for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Betty was born March 13, 1931, in Rockford, the daughter of Harold and Thelma (Shultz) Noah.

She was united in marriage to Donald L. Rogers on November 10, 1978, in Lennox, S.D.

Betty was a loving homemaker and a member of the Rudd United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, camping, playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband, Don, of Rudd; four children, Pam Walker and her special friend, Steve Kapping, of New Haven, Janice Wilmoth and her husband, Jim, of Palestine, Texas, Don Walker and his wife, Corinne, of Nora Springs, and Tom Walker and his wife, Robin, of Rudd; four stepchildren, Chris Dodge and her husband, Jim, of Burt, Dale Rogers and his wife, Cathy, of Mason City, Bill Rogers and his wife, Kathy, of Mason City, and Glenn Rogers, of Brandon; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Noah and his wife, Audrey, of Nora Springs; and two sisters, Marvelle (Noah) Squier and her husband, Burr, of Rudd, and Beverly (Noah) Christenson of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Wesley Walker; and a brother-in-law, John Christenson.
