NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Dennis "Denny" D. Robinette, 59, of 306 N. Sullivan St., died Tuesday (Aug. 13,2002) at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 101 N. Hawkeye St. in Nora Springs, with the Rev. Ruth Hanson officiating. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E. in Mason City and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to direct memorials to the Dennis Robinette Memorial Fund.

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Dennis "Denny" D. Robinette, 59, of 306 N. Sullivan St., Nora Springs, died Tuesday morning (Aug. 13, 2002) at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 101 N. Hawkeye St. in Nora Springs, with the Rev. Ruth Hanson officiating. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery.

Denny was born on September 12, 1942, the son of R.C. and Doris (Smith) Robinette in Odessa, Mo. Shortly following Denny's birth, the family moved to Iowa. Doris later married George Radcliff on Aug. 9, 1952 and together they raised Denny in Mason City where he attended and graduated from Mason City High School.
Denny became an enlisted man and joined the United States Navy on Aug. 16, 1961. Denny was honorably discharged on Aug. 16, 1965.
On July 5, 1966 Dennis was united in marriage to Mary Hamm in Mason City.
In 1969 Denny began working for Curries Manufacturing. During his 31 years with the company Denny had become the Maintenance Supervisor. Denny retired on May 1, 2000 due to health problems.
Denny loved the outdoors whether it was working in his yard or polishing his truck. He was an avid NASCAR fan and wood worker. His wood working projects included things for his grandchildren such as a playhouse, oak cradle, and a rocking chair.
Denny looked forward to and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Following his retirement from Curries Denny became an Internet bug, he enjoyed searching the web and getting e-mail.
Those thankful for having shared in Dennis' life include his wife, Mary; three daughters, Lisa Robinette, of Mason City, Shelly Robinette, and her special friend, Jason Long and daughter, Erica Robinette, of Mason City; and Carla Smith and her husband, Jason and their children, Ashley Robinette-Smith, Tyler, Brandyn, and Carter Smith, of Nora Springs; one brother, Larold Robinette and his wife, Phyllis, of Mason City.
Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather, George Radcliff.
