CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Marian Ellis, 85, of Charles City, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag, senior pastor of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Marian Marie Dostart Ellis was born May 19, 1912, in Charles City.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Volbrecht of Iuka, Illinois, and Donald Volbrecht of Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Sheryl Hibbs of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Marlys Howe and Helen Peters, both of Charles City; two brothers, Don Dostart of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Robert Dostart of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and three brothers.
