The Rev. Robert Fitzgerald

CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- The Rev. Robert Fitzgerald, 80, of 311 14th Ave., died Tuesday (July 8, 1997) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag and the Rev. Karen Rask Behling officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens near Charles City.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Robert Fitzgerald was born on February 9, 1917, at Rochester, Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Charles City; two daughters, Eileen Brown of Granger and Kathy DiLello of Glen Gardner, N.J.; a brother, John K. Fitzgerald of Rochester, Minn.; and a sister, Lavon Fitzgerald of Santa Monica, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Social Service or the Heart to Home Hospice of Charles City.
