CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Ella Hicok, 77, of 1744 Oak Drive, died Monday (July 7, 1997) at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main and Gilbert Streets, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag and the Rev. Karen Rask Behling officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, south of Charles City.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Ella Lena Anna Hicok was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Lone Rock.

Survivors include her husband, Dale of Charles City; two daughters, Judy Milhan of Chapin, S.C., and Jane Baldwin of Broken Arrow, Okla; two brothers, Herman Zimmerman of Charles City, and Emil Zimmerman of Lansing; four sisters, Louise Anderson, Emma Mohring and Esther Meine, all of Charles City, and MaryAnn Steenhard of Waverly; two grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
