EVANSDALE, IOWA - Fannie M. Paine, 84, of Evansdale, formerly of Nora Springs, died Sunday (July 6, 1997) at her home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Reformed Church, Evansdale, with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Spring Grove Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home, Waterloo, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the First Reformed Church or Christian Church of Nora Springs.

She was born May 9, 1913, in Charles City, daughter of Frederick and Nelle Crook Hoag.

She married Albertis "Bert" Paine on Aug. 9, 1931, in Fairmont, Minn. He died Aug. 30, 1988.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce Paine of Waterloo, Billie D. Paine of Evansdale, and Barrie D. Paine of Kremmling, Colo.; a daughter, Bettie D. Anton of Winthrop; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Virgil Hoag of St. Paul, Minn., and Russell Hoag of Bakersfield, Calif.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons in 1979; a daughter, Bonnie in 1983; a great-granddaughter in 1980; a son, Bobbie in 1985; one sister; and two brothers.
