OWATONNA, MINNESOTA -- Charlene Kay Moore, 56, of 609 14th St. S.E., died Friday (July 4, 1997) at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Carl Caskey officiating. Burial will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Michaelson's Funeral Home, with an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m., and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or donor's choice.

Charlene was born May 20, 1941, in Colwell, Iowa, daughter of Lawrence and Edna (Trask) Lemons. She graduated from Colwell High School in 1959. She married Richard Moore on July 15, 1962, in Charles City, Iowa, where they both worked for Oliver Farm Equipment.

They moved to Owatonna in 1970. She was administrative secretary for St. John Lutheran Church for 25 years. Charlene was a member of the United Methodist Church and a past matron and 25-year member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Lee Moore; daughter, Gail, and husband, Michael Bendorf, of Owatonna; son, Michael, and wife, Cheryl Moore, of Little Falls, Minn.; mother, Edna Lemons, of Granton, Wis.; three sisters, Barbara and husband, Thomas Kennison, of Orchard, Iowa, Bonnie and husband, Richard Shaw, of Neillsville, Wis., and Lois and husband, David Schreindl, of Marshfield, Wis.; one brother, Larry, and wife, Ann Lemons, of Saukville, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
