JANICE E. CUMMING

WELLS, Maine - Janice E. Cumming, 74, resident of Webhannet Harbor Rd., formerly of Nora Springs, died Wednesday morning (March 31, 1999) at her residence after a long illness.

Mrs. Cumming was born June 18, 1924, in Nora Springs, a daughter of Claude E. and Stella M. Johnson Tatum. She attended Nora Springs Schools and studied voice at Frances Shimer College, University of Iowa, at Iowa City and the American Conservatory in Chicago.

She was a former member of the First Methodist Church in Nora Springs and was a member of the Wells Congregational Church in Wells, Maine.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Charles E. "Chuck" Cumming, of Wells; her children, Peggy E. Drummey, of Springvale, Maine, Jeffrey E. Cumming of Mason City, Claudia E. Shultz of Iowa Falls, and Myra J. Foxen of Yukon, Okla.; a brother, Hoyt A. Tatum, of Nora Springs; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 9, at the First Methodist Church, Nora Springs. Private Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Arrangements by Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd., Wells, Maine.
