Dies at Marble Rock

MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Joseph Leo Schmitt, 74, died Wednesday at the home in rural Marble Rock where he had lived all his life.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Roseville. The Rev. Alphonse White will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery with Reid-Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Greene, in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his wife, Rose; a son, Joseph; a daughter, Martha; and a brother, Jacob -- all of Marble Rock.
