Heart Attack Fatal
To Former Resident
At Galveston, Texas

Services were held at the Sheckler funeral home in Nora Springs at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Sept. 5, for William Fredrick Schultz, 70, former local resident, who died in Texas Thursday, Sept.2, as the result of a heart attack.

The Rev. W. F. Ellerbeck, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethern church, officiated at the rites; and burial was in Rock Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were Percy Schultz, Russell Lunde, Bud Marshall, Irving Keidle, Percy Johnson and Arthur Haugen. Mrs. Harry Olson and Mrs. O. L. Hansen sang, "The Old Rugged Cross". They were accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Shanks.

The deceased, a son of Albert and Wilhelmenia Schultz, was born May 5, 1878, in Bluten, Germany. At the age of four years he, with his parents and two sisters, came to America, settling at Nora Springs.

Married On Birthday He was married to Selma Litchenwalter on May 5, 1903. To this union four children were born. They are Mrs. Hazel Fridge, Mrs. Marlys Thurman of Texas, and Mrs. Nona Johnson of Denver, Colo., and Albert Truman, of Texas. There also are 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Schultz lived in Nora Springs until 26 years ago, when he moved to Glaveston, Texas, where he was employed by the Santa Fe railroad, which position he held until the time of his death.

Brother War Casualty While living in Nora Springs, he was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Selma; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Schultz; and a brother Fred, who gave his life in the service of his country during World War I in France.

He is survived by his four children; one brother, Otto Schultz of Nora Springs; and five sisters, Mrs. W. H. Marshall and Mrs. W. E. Durant of Nora Springs, Mrs. August Bruns and Mrs. Louise Meter of Mason City; and Mrs. Edith Ritze of Lima, Ohio. There are many other relatives and friends.
