Succcumbs In Hospital

Funeral services for Charles O. Schultz 71, were held at the Methodist church in Nora Springs at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with the pastor, the Rev. C. Dana Boggie, conducting the rites Mr. Schultz, died at a Mason City hospital Thursday evening, June 26. His home was in Clear Lake.

Serving as pall bearers were Ed Clifford, Virgil Gast, John Shanks, L.V. Jacobson, Ned Baughey and Claude Tatum. Burial was in Park cemetery, Nora Springs. The Sheckler funeral home had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harry Olson and Mrs. O. L. Hansen sang "Beautiful Isle Of Somewhere" and "Some Day We Will Understand." They were accompanined by Mrs. K. S. Shank as organist.

Mr. Schultz was born at Nora Springs Feb. 4, 1876, and was married here to Miss Margaret Ellen Marshall on November 27, 1897. They lived in Nora Springs first and then in Nashua four or five years before moving to Clear Lake in February 1946. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Earl Schultz and Mrs. Norma Zastrow, both of Mason City; Mrs. Oscar Andersen, Rudd; and Mrs. George Mason of Memphis, Tennnessee; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
