Lenord Wrench

Funeral services were held Tuesday at St.Luke, Lutheran Church, Nora Springs,for Lenord Wrench, 88, formerly of Nora Springs.

He died Thursday (July 3, 1986)at a Northwood nursing home.

Mr. Wrench farmed in the Nora Springs area most of his life and also worked as a handyman for area farmers and residents.

He was born September 17, 1897, in Illinois to Lewis and Mary (Webster Wrench. He moved with his family from Illinois to Kansas and later to Nora Springs.

On June 16, 1920, he married Eva Chenney in Mason City.

The Rev. David Guetzke officiated and burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

The Hogan-Bremer-Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Edward, Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, David Wrench, Thomaston,Ga., Mrs. Lloyd (Debra) George, Hayward, Calif., Karl Wrench, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. James (Sandra) Trainer, Northwood; and three great-granchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sons, Donald, Raymond, Darrell; two grandsons, Gary Wrench, Larry Wrench; three brothers, Claud, Wilmen, Jessie and one sister Elenor.
