Nora Springs, Iowa - Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at Hogan-Bremer-Sheckler Colonial Chapel here for Ida R. Artz, 91, of Nora Springs.
She died Saturday (Sept. 27, 1986) at a Mason City nursing home.
The Rev. Lon Lewis of United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, will officiate. Visitation will be after 3 this afternoon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.
Mrs. Artz was born on December 25, 1894, in rural Rockford to Robert and Amelia Krause.
She married Paul E. Artz on December 24, 1914. They moved to the Nora Springs-Rudd area in 1918.
Mrs. Artz was a teller at First State Bank here for more than 20 years.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Nora Springs; a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Nora Springs; a longtime member of the Gray Ladies, Nora Springs, and had a 50-year pin for service with the Red Cross.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Joyce) Timm, Arroyo Grande, California, and JoAnn Tankersley, Oxnard, California, a son J. Paul, Mason City; nine grandchildren,eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Flossie Hodge, Rudd, and Edna Hodge, Rudd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a granddaughter, and several brothers and sisters.
