CONDUCT RITES
TODAY FOR MRS.
M. BUMGARDNER

Succumbs At Home
of Son at Spirit
Lake Tuesday

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon - Thursday - in the Methodist church for Mrs. Mildred Bumgardner, 51, who died at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning, May 25, in the home of her son, Mitchell O. Bumgardner, at Spirit Lake.

Mrs. Bumgardner, who had spent her entire life in the Rock Grove community south of Nora Springs, with the exception of a few years residence in California, had been living on and managing her farm here until last January, when ill health caused to her to dispose of her farm equipment and go to the home of her son at Spirit Lake. She had sought relief in various hospitals, and spent several weeks last fall at Rochester, but to no avail; her condidtion growing constantly more alarming until, during the past month, no hope was held for her recovery.

The body will be brought to Nora Springs about noon and will be in state in the church from 1 until 2 o'clock. The pastor, the Rev. Robert Davis, will conduct the service and burial will be in Rock Grove cemetery, at the side of her husband.

The pall bearers will be Roy Whitesell, Clifford Huntley, Bob Straube, Ed LaCoste, Harold Noah and
Harry Roberts. The Misses Mary and Edna Roberts will arrange the flowers in the church and at the graveside. Mrs. O. L. Hansen and Mrs. Harry M. Olson will sing "Crossing The Bar" and "In the Garden." They will be accompanied by Mrs. K. S. Shanks.

Mildred Hardman was born to David and Luella Hardman at Rock Grove on May 19, 1892. She was married to Harry Bumgardner on May 25, 1910, her death occuring on the 33rd anniversary of that of her husband's parents, Mrs. Vena L. Bumgardner of Nora Springs and the late John Bumgardner. Harry Bumgardner was killed in the fall of 1925 in an accident with a corn shedder.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Reindl of Long Beach, Cal., a son, Mitchell Bumgardner of Spirit Lake, both of whom were with her at the time of her death; a granddaughter, Katherine Bumgardner of Spirit Lake; and two brothers, Ralph Hardman of Vancouver, Washington, and Earl Hardman of Timber, Oregon.

A sister Marie died two and a half years ago.
