Dr. H. A. Sinning, pastor of the Eden Presbyterian church, was in charge of services at 2 o'clcok Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Albert Decker, 71, who died Tuesday at her home here.

Casket bearers were Elmer Apel, C.E. Schmidt, Fred LaCoste, Otto Brandau, Melvin Apel and Peter Brandau. Dr. Sinning and Miss Clara Apel sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul". They were accompanied on the piano by Alice Brandau. The floral arrangements were made by Mrs. Andrew Marth and Mrs. Andrew Phillips.

Burial was in Eden cemetery. The Sheckler funeral home, Nora Springs, had charge of the rites.

Anna Catherine Decker was born to the late George and Katherine Apel in Mitchell county, near Osage, on May 7, 1871, and died in Rudd Tuesday morning, March 16, 1943, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and nine days.

At the age of two years, she came with her parents to live in Floyd county. She was confirmed by the Rev. Mr. Hayenga in 1888, and at that time became a member of the Eden Presbyterian church.

On September 6, 1893, she was married to Albert Decker of Stacyville and they established their home three-quarters of a mile west of the church, where they lived until March 1920, when they moved to Rudd, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Decker, Luella, Mable and Irene. Mrs. Decker was a devoted and loving mother.

She was a charter member of the Ladies Aid of the Eden Presbyterian church, which was organized in her home, and she took an active part as long as her health permitted.

Those who remain to mourn her departure are her husband and her three children, Mrs. Fred Ehlebracht of Rudd, Mrs. Will Moeller of Charles City and Mrs. Arthur Moore of Rudd, all of whom were at her bedside when her last moment came; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Will Apel of Phoenix, Arizona, and Fred Apel of Charles City, and many other relatives and friends.

The late C. G. Apel of Nora Springs was also a brother.
