Dies In Chicago

Harry Weitze received word Saturday of the sudden death of his sister, Mrs. Carl Hammond, 59, of Chicago. Her husband found her dead in bed when he awoke Saturday morning. The funeral was held Tuesday.

Nee Rose Weitze, Mrs. Hammond was born in Nora Springs and lived here until about 40 years ago, when she moved first to Cedar Rapids and then to Chicago.

Survivors are her husband; one son; an adopted daughter; one grandchild; and three brothers, George of Waterloo, Henry of Gerber, Calif., and Harry of Nora Springs.
