Roberts Rites
Held Friday

Stanley Haynes of Mason City officiated at last rites for Harry Clark Roberts, 55, at 3:30 Friday afternoon, January 22, [1954] in the Sheckler funeral home. Mr. Roberts' frozen body was found January 19 in his trailer house at Alta, where he had been working. Death was attributed to a heart attack, and was believed to have occured January 12.

Burial was in Rock Grove cemetery, south of Nora Springs. Casket bearers were Harold Noah, John Jerrell, Vic Mathers, Wiliam Quinlan, George Mogk and Roy Whitesell. Mrs. J. Ellis Webb sang "City Four Square" with Mrs. K. S. Shanks as her accompanist.

The only child of M. Wilson and Cora E. Roberts, Mr. Roberts was born June 7, 1898, on a farm south of Mason City, where he lived with his parents until they moved to their farm southeast of Nora Springs, living there until 1948, when his mother moved to Nora Springs. She died there in May 1950. Wilson Roberts died in July, 1943.

Since leaving the farm, Harry had lived in Rockford, Sioux Rapids and Alta.

He is survived by one aunt, Miss Bertha Clark of Mason City; and numerous cousins.
