Roger L. Jensen, 53, of Greene, died Monday morning, December 13, 2010, at his home in Greene.

Funeral services for Roger Jensen will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Roger Lee Jensen was born April 5, 1957, in Britt, the son of Edwin C. and Florine (Bangert) Jensen. He graduated from the Charles City High School in 1976. In September of 1980, he was united in marriage to Denise Gemaehlich at the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. For over 25 years, Roger was employed as a truck driver.

His interests included the outdoors, his dogs, fishing, camping, dancing and spending time with his boys and their special ladies.

Living family members include his wife, Denise Jensen of Greene; two sons, Douglas Jensen and his fiancé Amy Baltes of St. Paul, Minn. and Justin (Erin) Jensen of Charles City; parents Edwin and Florine Jensen of Charles City; two brothers, Ricky (Barbara) Jensen of Greene and Randy (Sandra) Jensen of Calif.; parents-in-law, Leon and Doris Gemaehlich of Charles City; sister-in-law, DeAnna (David) McDemott of Council Bluffs; two brothers-in-law, Steven (Renee) Gemaehlich and Neil (Teresa) Gemaehlich all of Charles City; several aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews; his dog, Abby; and his grand dogs, Luna, Daisy and Gretchen.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a nephew, Brian Dean Jensen.
