Shannon D. Stillions, 36, of Charles City, died Tuesday evening, December 14, 2010, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services for Shannon Stillions will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.

Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City.

Shannon Dean Stillions was born March 30, 1974, in Des Moines, the son of Bradley D. and Deborah (Kay) Stillions. Earlier in life Shannon was employed at Sherman Nursery in Charles City. Shannon was a member of the Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed going to his sister’s farm, the YMCA and his daily trips to HyVee for coffee with his friends. Shannon loved spending time with his girlfriend, who he adored, his nephews and his good friend Dick Tibbitts.

Living family members include his mother, Deborah (Mark) Shannon of Charles City; sister, Tara (Roby) Winterink of Charles City; brother, Shane Stillions of Des Moines; maternal grandmother, Judy (Jack) Christensen of Charles City; paternal grandparents, Mary (Glen) Prouty of Charles City; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Devon and Katelynn Winterink, Pierce, Aidan, Aylah and Shane Stillions and Alena Foster; several aunts and uncles; and his girlfriend, Renee Wagner of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Dewy “Sonny” Stillions; and his father.
