Mindy (Carroll) Venz 1957-2005

Mindy (Carroll) Venz, formerly Mindy Buck, 47, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Friday, July 15, 2005, at her home.

A private service was held for family and friends.

Mindy grew up on a farm east of Little Cedar and attended and graduated from the Osage Community Schools. She has three children, Corey and Dustin Buck of Forest City, Alissa Buck of Nora Springs. Mindy and Gary Venz were married in October of 2004.

Mindy enjoyed working with flowers, basket weaving and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Venz; three children, Corey and Dustin Buck of Forest City and Alissa Buck of Nora Springs; two step-children, Hunter Venz of Louisville, Kentucky and Katie Venz of Mason City; her mother and step-father, Jane and Allen Smolik of Osage; brother, Chris Carroll of Marshalltown; sisters, Robertta Carroll Huffman and Mary Jo Johnson, both of Osage and Susan Smolik-Hagen of Janesville, Iowa; nine nieces; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond P. Carroll; grandparents, Joe and Florence Bartholmey, Robert and Mary Louise Carroll.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage.
